Krista C. Geddes: Attorney, Educator, and Mentor



Krista C. Geddes is an accomplished attorney and dedicated educator with extensive experience in law practice and mentorship. Growing up in the Bay Area, Krista developed a profound appreciation for learning, nature, and storytelling, inspired by her parents' encouragement and diverse educational experiences.


Krista excelled academically, graduating as Valedictorian from Cal Northern School of Law, where she earned multiple Witkin Awards for academic excellence. At California State University, Chico, she further distinguished herself by winning the "Best Brief" award in Moot Court. Her academic journey also includes a Paralegal Certificate from CSU Chico and multiple associate degrees from Butte College.


With over 12 years as a practicing attorney, Krista specializes in various legal areas, including family law, personal injury, medical malpractice, employment law, landlord-tenant law, and civil litigation. Her notable accomplishments include successfully litigating against Butte County and the U.S. government, achieving significant judicial victories and extensive media coverage.


Krista has been actively involved in legal education, mentoring law students through personalized bar exam coaching, legal analysis tutoring, and serving as a Moot Court judge. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusivity, practical legal insights, and critical thinking, fostering student confidence and professional preparedness. Krista also served as a Moot Court judge for California State University, Chico's Moot Court competition for four years.


Throughout her life, Krista has provided a safe haven for dozens of young people—offering temporary shelter, healing after difficult experiences, or simply a secure place to graduate high school.


Currently, Krista dedicates herself to caregiving for her three special-needs siblings while maintaining her passion for writing and mentoring. Despite facing significant personal physical challenges, including chronic pain and ongoing surgeries, Krista continues to demonstrate resilience, unwavering dedication, and an inspiring commitment to serving others.
